Ann L. Herrmann
March 22, 1924-April 2, 2014
Ann Herrmann bw

Ann L. Herrmann, 90, entered into eternal rest on April 2, 2014 in Modesto, California. She was born on March 22, 1924 in San Francisco. In heaven she joins her beloved husband Fred Herrmann.
She leaves behind her children: Janet Heacox (Tom), Carol Davis and Mike Herrmann (Gracie). Ann was blessed with four grandchildren, Scott Davis, Clint Herrmann, Heather Redmond and Rob Heacox. Ann has four great grandchildren. In addition she has one surviving sibling Larry Malasoma (Eljean).
Ann was a Manteca resident since 1997.  Prior to Manteca she called Ripon her home. She was an administrator in a photography studio for 25 years. She was a faithful Catholic and a proud member of the Italian Catholic Federation in Visalia.  Ann was a tutor for the Give Every Child a Chance program in Manteca where she enjoyed interacting with the children. Among Ann’s many attributes, were painting, quilting and writing, as she wrote a memoir on her mother’s life story as well as her own life. Her nurturing spirit never went unnoticed. She was a great listener, attentive and nonjudgmental. She was able to find the silver lining in any turbulence.  She was a wonderful cook and was encouraged to write her own cookbook where she  gave copies to each of her family members.  She was the core of her family; she loved them unconditionally. Ann was so excited to have celebrated her 90th birthday just a few weeks ago where she reminisced with old friends and extended family members.  She lived her life with grace and respect as she always had a positive attitude. She will be remembered as a loving mother grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be missed.
