Anna G. Wade entered into eternal rest on October 28, 1910 in Fresno, California.  She was 49 days short of her 100th birthday.

She was one of 12 children born to Joseph and Elvira Gomes.  Along with her parents and siblings, the family moved to the Manteca/Tracy area in 1939 from the San Joaquin Valley, south of Fresno.  She resided in the Manteca area until six years ago when she moved to an assisted living facility in Fresno.

She worked 27 years in the Army Depot of Lathrop and Tracy.  There she met Roy Wade and they were married in November of 1951.  He passed away in 1977, after 26 years of marriage.

Anna is survived by one sister, Bernice Hughes, of Oroville, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 5 to 7 p.m. and a rosary to follow at 7 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca, in the chapel.  A funeral mass is scheduled on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North Street, Manteca.  Final resting place will be St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S. Carrolton Road, in Escalon.

Donations may be made to St. Agnes Hospice, 1303 E. Herndon Avenue, Fresno, CA. 93720, Alzheimer’s Foundation of Central California, 4411 N. Cedar Avenue, Fresno, CA. 93720, or donor’s favorite charity.
