Anne C. Harrigan was born in Charleston, West Virginia on July 12, 1938 to the late Bernard James Christian and Annabelle F. Christian.  She passed away on the morning of March 30, 2011 after a brief illness.

Anne married her first husband, the late Jack F. Burford and together they gave birth to their son, the late James F. Burford.

In February of 1976 she married the late Patrick J. Harrigan.

Anne graduated from high school in Charleston, West Virginia, in 1956.  She attended Morris Harvey College in Charleston for 3 years (1961-1964).  She moved to Manteca in 1964.  She attended Delta College in Stockton, California (1965-1967) earning an AA Degree becoming a Registered Nurse.  She was employed at San Joaquin County General Hospital as a Registered Nurse until retirement.  Anne loved to do yard work especially on sunny days. She loved traveling to Jackson where she was known as the “slot machine Queen.”  She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Anne is survived by her brother, William Christian of Viera, FL; stepson, Patrick Damon Harrigan of Manteca, two granddaughters, Cristal A. Burford of Manteca and Trishtain E. Burford of Auburn, WA; one grandson, Daniel J. Burford of Auburn, WA; two great-granddaughters, Sierra and Nicole, both of Manteca.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 4, at 4 p.m. at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca.  Final resting place will be East Union Cemetery.  An online tribute wall/guestbook is available for condolences and special messages at plfryandson.com search obituaries.
