Annette Maxine James, 72, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in Manteca. She was born on Oct. 20, 1938 in Livermore to the late Orval and Hazel Morgan.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband George James as well as her son Maverick Sarles and brother Squeakie Silva

 Annette leaves behind her children; Reggie Sarles, Art Sarles and Angelina Sarles of Manteca, Mickey Sarles of, Mo. as well as her step children Roshanna, Lori, Kimmie and step son David Strong. Annette was blessed by 16 grandchildren; Ernie, Billy, Leanna, Michelle, Casey, Amanda, Sabrina, Richard, Trista, Johnny, Art, Scotty, Meressa, Richie, Jennifer, Danny and 35 great grand children. She leaves siblings; Happy Morgan of Castro Valley, Johnny Morgan of Forrest Hills, Nancy Howard of Modesto. .

 Annette was a retired certified nursing assistant for over 30 years working in Fremont and in Manteca. She enjoyed singing and dancing to her favorite country song. She loved her family dearly and always looked forward to spending the day at one of their favorite thrift stores or any 99 cent stores. The doors were always open at Annette’s home for her many grandchildren as she would make sure they would always have grandmas warm cookies. Her puppies were the highlight of her life; her company when the grandchildren went home. To Annette her family always came first she had an unconditional motherly love for each one of them. She will be remembered as an adored mother, special grandma, and most loving great grandma she will be missed enormously.

Arrangements for James are under the direction of P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A Celebration of Life/ Potluck will be held in her honor.

On Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Nelson Family Home, 7922 Southland Road, Manteca.
