Anthony Gregory Munkolm, 39, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in Manteca. He was born on August 14, 1972 in San Jose.
Anthony leaves behind his loving wife of 14 years Portia Munkholm as well as his sons; Jonnythan Michael Munkholm (15) and Zakry Alexander Munkholm (12) all of Manteca. Anthony is the son of Gerald and step mother Bonnie Munkholm of Vacaville and Jean and Step father Chester Sharski of Reno. He is a brother to; Kevin Munkholm and wife Myrna of Santa Clara, Candace “ Kandi” Veach and husband John of WA, Pamela Fuller of NV, Cynthia Anderson of Woodland, Nelda Murell and husband Eric of ID, Sharon Rook of WA, Henry “Mike” Amaya of WA, Donald Amaya of NV and Ryan Amaya of WA. He is the brother-in-law to Matthew Martinez and wife Cathleen. Anthony leaves also 13 nephews and nieces as well as 8 grand nephews and nieces.
Anthony was a resident of Manteca for 9 years. He was confident and loving person with a great sense of humor. He had many friends, although his quite personality. He spent time on the computer playing video poker and was quite proud of calling himself a “computer geek”. He was a 49ner fan all the way, always backing his team in good and bad times. Anthony was amazingly proud of his children encouraging them to do well in school and in sports. He was their #1 fan. Anthony had a true heart of gold, continuously helping friends or anyone in need. No one knew Anthony as well as his loving wife Portia; they respected and loved one another like no other. Anthony will be remembered as a most loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He will be missed and loved forever.
Arrangements are under the direction of P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A Rosary will be held on Monday, January 16, at 5 p.m. at the P.L. Fry and Son Chapel.
