Arlene Forest bw

Arlene Leona Forrest transitioned from this life to the next on Sunday, October 18, 2015.  She was 77 years old.  Arlene, sister to David and Jack Davidson, was born on February 1, 1938, in Red Lodge, Montana and is preceded in death by her mother Leona Davidson, father John Wolfe, stepfather Robert Davidson, sister Bess Barham, brother Robert Davidson, and nephew David Barham.
Arlene is survived by her loving family: David Lee Forrest, husband of almost 60 years, daughters Shamara Turner (James), Sonna Jorge (Gustavo), Denise Graham (Joe), and son David Forrest II.  Her beloved grandchildren include Danica Pommerenck, John Hoban (Amanda), Jason and Darrin Turner; Gustavo and Gabe Jorge; Eddie (Cortney), and Maxwell Lynd; and Justin and Joseph (Gina) Graham. Great grandchildren include Isabella and LeighAnne Lynd.
Arlene was a dedicated homemaker whose life focus was lovingly raising her four children and volunteering in various California organizations in Valinda, Tracy, Lucerne Valley and Manteca.  Those efforts included unselfish dedication of her time and resources to San Jose School’s PTA and Little League, Camp Fire Girls and Cub Scouts, COPS and STARS (sheriff volunteer programs), and Lucerne Valley’s Library and Adult Literacy Program. One of Arlene’s most treasured endeavors was cofounding the Lucerne Valley Outreach Center for women and children who were victims of domestic abuse.  Many say Arlene had a special light and made a positive difference by touching their lives with her genuine concern and love of each person she met.
Services will be held at Park View Cemetery, 3661 E. French Camp Road,
Manteca at 5 p.m. in the Chapel.
