Woosley 11x14.jpg

Arnold (Art) Leonas Woosley went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 10, 2018, just a few weeks after his 94th birthday.  He was born in Caneyville, Kentucky to Hannibal and Mae Carter Woosley.  Art and his two brothers were orphaned at a young age.  He served in the Army during World War II and was in the music and oil business until retirement.

Art had three sons with Marjorie Woosley, Stephen, Eugene, and Clifford.  He married Helen Joan Oldenkamp on January 14, 1984. They moved to Ripon, California in 1989, where they were members of Calvary Reformed Church.  Art served as a church Elder and on various committees.  Art loved music and playing golf and making work calls with Helen, at every opportunity.

Art is survived by his wife Helen of Ripon, CA, son Cliff (Sonja) of South Pasadena, CA, and daughter-in-law Kim Woosley (Eugene) of Highland, CA.  He has four grandsons and a grand- daughter Michael (Susan), Clayton (Sandy), David (Kyndra), Clinton (Erica), and Claire, and six great grandchildren  Caleb, Carter, Paityn, Capri, Charlotte, and Harper. He also has several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brothers, Clifford and James, and his sons, Stephen and Eugene.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018, from 5-7 p.m. at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel, 111 South Palm Avenue in Ripon.    A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 20, at the Calvary Reformed Church, in Ripon, California, beginning at 11:00 a.m.  A light luncheon will follow.

All donations are to be sent to Hospice of San Joaquin in Stockton, CA, or Ripon Fire Dept. in Art’s memory.  I want to thank his caregiver Mary West for the special care she gave him and Elizabeth Khouli for all her help as well.
