   Barbara Mae Bruns, 70, entered into rest on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, in Galt. She was born in Stockton on October 3, 1943, to the late Ralph and Evelyn Radke. Barbara joins her husband Charles Bruns III in heaven.

She leaves behind her children; Charles Bruns IV (Karen) of Galt, Sherri Jory (Ward) of Lodi and Scott Bruns (Amber) of Manteca. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Caitlin, Meghan, Ethan, Corbin, Maverick and Shooter as well as three great- grand babies, Kamryn, Ryan and Holden. In addition, Barbara has three surviving siblings, Cathy Mikkelson, Bob Radke and Jim Radke.

   Barbara was a Manteca native, she attended Manteca Union High School, where she was class of 1961’s home-coming queen.  Barbara loved to be involved in any school activities where she could show her creativity and help others. Barbara was an antique dealer while raising her children. She was a member of The Manteca Historical Society and was on the committee every year to plan the next high school reunion.  She loved getting together with her group of friends to remember fun and good times! Above all, Barbara loved her family and looked forward to time spent with them. She will be remembered for her amazing personality, her talent and her loving spirit. She will be truly missed.  

   P.L. Fry and Son is honored to serve the Bruns family. Visitation will be Monday, March 3, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a service immediately following.  She will be laid to rest at Park View Cemetery, 3661 East French Camp Road, Manteca.  Donations may be made in her honor to St. Josephs Cancer Center, 1800 N. California Street, Stockton, CA 95204, or Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.
