Barbara Notgrass 76, of Ripon, California left us way too soon on November 24, 2015. Barbara was eastbound on Hwy 120, an eigth of a mile west of North Ripon Road waiting to make a left hand turn into her driveway when a distracted driver rear ended her vehicle forcing her car into a head on collision with a west bound truck and died on the scene.
   Our Frauline Barbara was born on August 10, 1941. She was the daughter of Walter and Hildegard Schidlack  in Landsberg, Germany.  Barbara joins her deceased husband Marion Notgrass, a Vietnam Veteran on the other side. She is survived by her son Kent Nolan of Manteca, daughter Brandy Nicole Rodriguez, son in law Jose Luis Rodrigues of Ripon, grandchildren Austin 4 years old, Justin 12 years old of Ripon, and Nicolette 14 years old of San Francisco.  Barbara also leaves behind two brothers Claus and Carson Schidlack residing in Germany.
   Frauline Barbara’s energy and love was focused on her family.  Her time spent with her grandchildren were moments most enjoyed.  Soccer was the sport Barbara loved most and she coached many years in Union City.  Many will miss Frauline Barbara on Steak Night and other days at the Olde Towne Saloon where her quick wit and friendliness to all she met will be sorely missed. 
   A funeral service will be held Friday, December 11, at the Eaton Family Funeral Home, 513 12th Street, Modesto, at 10:00 a.m. Frauline Barbara will be buried next to the love of her life Marion at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 McCabe Road, Santa Nella Village, CA 95322 at 1:00 p.m. 
   After the formal services, an all day celebration will be at the Olde Towne Saloon, 15040 E. State Highway 120, Ripon, CA.  Olde Towne is located on the corner of North Ripon Road and Hwy 120.
