Bernadine Limas
September 25, 1935-January 21, 2015
Bernadine Limas BW

Bernadine Limas, 79, entered into rest on January 21, 2015 in Manteca, CA. She was born on September 25, 1935 in Manteca to the late Manuel and Loretta Silva. In heaven she joins her parents and two sisters Evelyn Risenhoover and Gertrude Silva and brother Donald.
Mrs. Limas is survived by her husband of 59 years Alfonso. Together they raised their three children Desiree Barringer (Phil), Richard Limas, Lauri John (Mike). She was blessed by six grandchildren; Angela, Stephanie, Brad, Gina, Jennifer and Michaela and adored her 10 great-grandchildren; Carlie, Catelyn, Chad, David, Brad, Ashlynn, Tommy, Addison, Landon and Jacob. In addition she has three surviving siblings; sister and best friend Judith DeRuyter, brother Robert Silva, and sister Corlene Stout.
Bernadine grew up in Ripon graduating from Ripon High in 1953. Shortly after high school Bernadine married her husband Alfonso and together made their home in Manteca for 59 years. For over 20 years Bernadine was a baker for the Manteca Unified School District; stationed at East Union High School, where she was well known for her perfect cinnamon rolls. She enjoyed the simple things in life as her home was always the social hub for family and friends alike. When visiting Bernadine you never went home with an empty stomach, love in your heart and laughter in your soul. She loved a strong cup of coffee, and a challenging game of poker surrounded by good friends and close family. She was always supportive to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; attending sporting events, school events, birthdays and special occasions. She was the paparazzi of her family; always capturing special moments throughout the years. Bernadine will be remembered as a loving mother, a very special grandmother and a wonderful sister.  She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
