Bessie Schaapman, entered into rest on Saturday, August 29, 2015. She was born in Manteca on June 2, 1930 to the late Clyde Wilson and Stella Candini. In heaven she joins her loving husband Raymond and son George.
   Bessie leaves behind sons; Ronnie Schaapman and Randy Schaapman both of Manteca. She was blessed with eight grandchildren, Melissa, Angie, Ronnell, Michelle, Randy, Savannah, Brandy and Keith and eleven great grandchildren. In addition she has one surviving sibling, Dorothy Hahn of Manteca.
   Bessie was a lifetime Manteca resident. She attended Summer Home Elementary School and graduated from Manteca High School in 1949. After high school Bessie worked for Kraft Cheese. She married the love of her life Raymond and after his sudden passing in 1974, would raise her young family on her own. Bessie was a faithful Catholic; she prayed the rosary daily and enjoyed father Dante’s homilies. Bessie loved her family dearly and her grandchildren where the apple of her eye. She will be remembered as most loving mother and adored grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
   P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Schaapman family. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. Mass will be Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:30a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 East North Street, Manteca. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Escalon, CA.
