Betty Jo McGoldrick, 95, passed on March 23, 2021, her sharp mind and gentle spirit blurred by dementia in recent years.  Born April 18, 1925, Cureall, Missouri, to Floyd and Florence Williams, She was preceded in death by her husband James Mearl McGoldrick, son James M. McGoldrick, Jr., brothers, Neil and Dale Williams, sister Janet Griffin, and sister-in-law Esther Williams.

After Betty’s retirement from Tracy Defense Depot, she and Mearl traveled to all 50 states.  Although she never met a stranger, her main pleasure in life was her family and friends.  She loved being a grandmother and was an integral part of her grandchildren and great-grand children’s lives.  A devoted friend to many, Betty loved a good laugh.  She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ, most recently Davis Park in Modesto.
P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the McGoldrick family. A private interment will be held April 2, at San Joaquin National Cemetery.  If you wish to honor her memory, please donate to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation.
