   Betty Lourene Field, 90, entered into rest on February 20, 2015 in Manteca. She was born on August 30, 1924 in Lodi Ca. She is preceded in death by her parents Martin and Reva Glynn as well as, her brothers Martin and Leon and her beloved husband Richard Field.
   Mrs. Field is survived by her daughters, Deborah Abbott (John) and Colleen Lockhart (Mark). She was blessed by four grandchildren, Joshua Abbott (Sonja), Katelyn Lockhart, Erin Messer (Robert), and Rebecca Abbott.
   Betty was a resident of Manteca for forty-seven years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church where she was involved in the church choir. Betty was musically inclined playing both the piano and the base violin. She was a member of the Senior Center where she was involved with the Widow and Widowers club. While raising her daughters, Betty was a dedicated mother being involved with PTA and many other avenues in their lives. She loved tending to her garden, where she had a natural “green thumb.” She was extremely pro-active in staying healthy, where she stayed practical and simple with her home-grown fruits and vegetables. Her fun, outgoing, happy personality never went unnoticed as she always kept a perfect balance of levelheadedness. Betty will be deeply missed.
   P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Field family. A service will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 10 a.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca.
