Bettye (Smith) Brodehl, 84, entered into rest on January 11, 2016 in Modesto, CA. Born October 9, 1931 in Nevada. She is preceded in death by her late husband, David Brodehl and a son Darryl Smith. Bettye is survived by her daughter, Leisa (Dale) Russell of Stockton. She was blessed with six grandchildren, Brian (Holly) Smith, Brad Smith, Dale (Lisa) Russell, Zach (Tiffany) Russell, Courtney Russell and Jordynn Russell and eight great-grandchildren, Camrynn, Emma, Katie, Cash, Paitynn, Reagan, Landon, and Kaiden.
   Bettye retired after a 15 year career as an Office Manager for Hy-Lond Enterprises in Stockton.  She cherished every moment she spent with family and friends and especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very kind and loving person and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
   P.L Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Brodehl family. A memorial prayer service will be held in our chapel located at 290 N. Union Rd. in Manteca on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Her final resting place will be St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
