Bonnie Compartore

Bonnie Compartore, age 80, entered into rest on December 6, 2013 in Manteca.  She was born on December 1, 1933 in Kansas City, Missouri. She moved to San Leandro in 1961 and lived there with her family until they moved to Manteca, where she has resided the past 11 years.  Bonnie is preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Del Cima and Shirley Oswell.
   Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Joseph Compartore; two children, Joe Compartore II and Lori Ann Reis and her husband Phil.  She was blessed with one granddaughter, Jessica Sherie Compartore.  Bonnie also leaves behind one sister, Diana Parks and many nieces and nephews.
   Bonnie was a graduate of Hayward High School. At the age of 18 she was crowned Miss Hayward. She was a devoted and loving housewife and mother. Bonnie was a member of CB Alert, where she volunteered in the community for various things, one of which was a dispatcher for emergency calls. While living in San Leandro, Bonnie and Joe enjoyed dining and socializing at the Blue Dolphin and Bancheros restaurants. She was an avid Oakland A’s, Warriors and San Francisco 49er’s fan. She was privileged to have attended all 3 World Series for the A’s in the 1970’s and personally knew many of the players. Bonnie was also an excellent cook, especially Italian food & Mid-Western foods. Bonnie also volunteered at St. Felicitas in San Leandro and attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Manteca. Bonnie was a beloved wife, loving mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. 
   PL Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Compartore family.  Services will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013 7:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca. A Mass will be held on Friday, December 13 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church, 505 E. North Street, Manteca. She will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
