Cameron passed away peacefully at Manteca Care & Rehab at the age of 83 on Tuesday, June 23, 2009.  He was born in Beresford, South Dakota to Lewis and Cora Campbell. He was a resident of Ripon for the past 3 years and was a prior resident of Redding. He was a veteran of the Navy and was a member of the American Legion &  VFW. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather who had a big heart and was a devoted family man.  

Cameron is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rita Campbell; his sons, Charles C. Campbell of Manteca, Dennis J. Campbell of Ceres and Harold John Campbell of Ripon;  his sister Darlene Matthews of San Leandro; and 7 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren. His parents and his brother Lewis Jr. preceded him in death.  

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel, 111 S. Palm Ave., Ripon. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, at 9 a.m. at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Ripon Cemetery, 320 N. Stockton Road, following the services.  

In loving memory, Cameron’s family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society,  1765 Challenge Way #115 Sacramento CA 95815 or to Alzheimer’s Aid  Society of Northern CA, PO Box 1824, Sacramento CA 95812.
