Carlo Bagnasco passed away on Thursday, April 14, surrounded by his family, after a long illness.  He was 78 years old.

“Charlie,” as he was known to all, was born on Oct. 22, 1932, in San Francisco.  He grew up mostly in the Central Valley, the family having moved here when he was young. He was a graduate of the Manteca High School Class of 1950. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a truck driver for Alpine Meats for 28 years, and a farmer all his life. He loved to play the accordion. He played for over 30 years as a member of Beeler’s Landler Orchestra, and was a member of the Good Time Accordion Club and the San Joaquin Valley Swiss Club . He enjoyed his retirement years immensely, as retirement allowed him to pursue his main passions – his accordion, his friends, and most of all spending time with his family.

Charlie is survived by Ann, his wife of almost 52 years. He was the proud father of 3: son Martin (Stacey), and daughters Lisa Jorgensen (Jerome) and Nina Winters (David).  He leaves 7 grandchildren: Samuel, Alexander, Courtney, Mackenzie Michael, Sophia and Carlo. He also leaves a brother, John Inderbitzin (Joanne) of Manteca.

Charlie will be remembered as never having met a stranger, for his booming voice, for his caring gentle manner and for his always happy demeanor.
