Carole Cose Obit Pic BW

Carole was born in Los Angeles to Henry and Isabella Farnham on September 23, 1940.  She graduated from Gardena High School, attended El Camino College and Pepperdine University, and earned a BS degree from Long Beach State.  She was very athletic, on the college diving team, was a cheerleader both in high school and college, and was President of her sorority Chi Theta Chi.
Carole had two wonderful children; Kelly and Lisa Scaffidi of Tracy, CA, three sisters; Norine Farnham of Santa Fe, NM, Sandy Klefman of Reno, NV and the late Virginia Amburgey of Irvine, CA and seven grandchildren, Jesse, Krystle, Tiffany, Taylor, Tara, Jaime, Kelsey and Rebecca.
She worked for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft on the DC-9 project for ten years, moved to Tracy in 1981, retired from San Joaquin County Road Maintenance in 2005, and enjoyed being a homemaker.  She was a member of the Wishing Well Society, was actively involved with Calvary Community Church of Manteca, and volunteered for years in an outreach program to the youth in Juvenile Hall.
Carole was an avid prayer warrior, passionately studied the Bible, and loved and trusted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.  A devoted and committed mother and grandmother, despite battling her long illness with Parkinson’s and Supranuclear Palsy, she never missed an event or game for her children and grandchildren.  She actively loved and lived life to the fullest—including traveling, swimming, skiing, camping, kayaking, and white water rafting.  Her laughter and cheerful attitude will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Community Hospice and the Alexander Cohen Hospice House for all of their support.    A memorial service in Carole’s honor will be held at the Calvary Community Church, 815 W. Lathrop Rd. in Manteca at 11:30 am on Saturday, August 9th.
