Castle Ray Ketchum Sr., 74, entered into rest surrounded by his loving family on June 11, 2021 at his home in Manteca. He was born June 1, 1947 to the late Herbert and Vinetta Ketchum in Oklahoma.
   Castle leaves behind his adored wife of 52 years Jeanne Ketchum of Manteca, their daughter, Deanna Stroup and husband James of Turlock and son Castle Ray Ketchum Jr. and wife Cassandra of Manteca. Along with his children Castle leaves Mario and Paul Silveira who he also considered sons. Castle was blessed with seven grandchildren, Michael Stroup, Jaime Stroup, Makinzy Ketchum, Kayden Ketchum, Mercedes Rankin, Lexis Rankin, Kamrie Rankin and one great- granddaughter Elodia Mae Stroup. In addition he has two surviving siblings, Linda Dituri and Keith Ketchum.
   Castle was a long time Manteca resident. He worked for Hormel and Nestle for over 40 years as a maintenance mechanic.  He loved spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles. Castle was a natural craftsman, he enjoyed building things or just tinkering with anything mechanical. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. He was a hard worker and instilled the same work ethics in his family. He loved his wife dearly and he was a wonderful father to his children. He was kind and gentle, always looking over everyone. His grandchildren where his pride and joy he loved them all unconditionally.
   Castle will be remembered for his heart of gold, for being an outstanding husband, amazing father and special grandfather. He will be deeply missed.
   A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Friday, June 18, 2021 at
1:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca, Ca.
