Cecilia Sheppard died at the age of 84, peacefully in her sleep on November 15, 2018. 

   A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North St., Manteca, CA with Fr. Chad Wahl officiating. Her ashes will be laid to rest at Irvington Memorial Cemetery, in Fremont, CA at an undisclosed time with her beloved late husband, William A. Sheppard.

   Cecilia was born on the island of Guam to Maria Perez Torres and Segundo Pereira Leon Guerrero on January 23, 1934. She lived in Guam until after WWII when Guam was liberated by the U.S. and was sent to Notre Dame Convent Boarding School in San Francisco until the rest of the family moved to California. Cecilia was president of the Alameda Guam Club (9yrs), Guamanian Federation of the U.S. (9yrs), BPW (3yrs), member of the BAWCA, and an active parishioner of St Anthony’s Catholic Church. 

   She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, Laureen and Mariano Mesa (Sirena), Karen Tice-Schmidt (Katrina, Rachelle), Kenneth Campanile and Stephanie Gasparo (Derek and Lacey (Braden, Mackenzie), Daniel and Sarah (Kylie, Connor, Parker). She is the middle sibling of five, Segundo Leon Guerrero, Margaret Castro, Francisco Leon Guerrero, and Carl Leon Guerrero. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

   Cecilia is preceded in death by late husbands: Arthur Campanile, William Sheppard, and Robert Hammer.
