Celestine “Lucky” Merilles, 74, entered into rest on July 13, 2014, in Manteca. She was born on JaN. 26, 1941. In heaven she joins her husband Ladislo Merilles.
Celestine leaves behind her children, Tina Lesher of Oregon and Allen Merilles and wife Laurie of Manteca. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Joshua Lesher, Tasha Lesher Lavers, Cortney Lesher, Mike Merilles and Mason Merilles. Her great grandchildren are, Donovan Lesher, Natalie Lesher, Joshy Lesher, London Lavers, Paisley Lavers and Harlan Huser. In addition she has three surviving siblings, Regina Hatchell of Arizona, Gail Gamez of Texas and Diane Audotor of Ore.
   Celestine was known as “Lucky” for most of her life. A resident of Manteca for over 43 years, Lucky was happiest around her children.  She was kind-hearted and always giving to others. She had a way of making you feel special, either with a birthday card or a warm hug.  Lucky was original, she took great pride in her appearance always looking impeccable. She enjoyed telling her life stories to family and friends. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely. Social and outgoing in her later years, Lucky really enjoyed her alone time, but visitors were always welcomed. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
