Charles Gonzalez, age 75, entered into rest on January 12, 2014 in Manteca.  He was born on November 15, 1933 in Jackson, CA, to the late Ygnacio and Loretta (Cota) Gonzalez.  He was also preceded in death by his sister, Dolores Maldonado, and daughter, Debbie Gonzalez.
   Charles is survived by his loving wife and companion, Jean Brand; his children, John Gonzalez of Washington, step-children; Donna Jacobson and husband Don of Bakersfield, and Scott Brand of Hawaii.  He was blessed with grandchildren, John Carter Gonzalez and Alina Cardoza, and step-grandchildren, Natalie Jacobson, Brandon Jacobson and Katie Jacobson, and one great-grandchild, Savannah Cardoza.  Charles also leaves behind his siblings, Barbara Gonzalez, Helen Flores, Tony Gonzalez, Julian Valdez, all of Stockton and Carmen Valdez of San Francisco.
   Charles was a United States veteran serving his country proudly as a member of the The United States Marine Corps. Charles worked as a mold maker for a glass plant for many years before retiring. He enjoyed playing pool and fishing. He looked forward to visiting at the Manteca Senior Center and never missed out on a good game of football; especially when watching his favorite team, The Seattle Seahawks. He had a passion for watching old western movies alongside his wife Jean.  Charles will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed.
