Charlie Wayne Huckabee passed away on December 10, 2015 at the age of 90.  Charlie was the eleventh of thirteen children born to Mack and Pirl Huckabee in Bonham County, TX.
   Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy of 66 years, his siblings and his parents.  He is survived by his four children, Belinda (Jerry) Cook, Charlene (Bradley) Hubbard, Patricia Moreno and Douglas, (Tina) Huckabee, nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. 
    Charlie was a veteran of the United States Army and served in three European campaigns of WWII and was awarded the Bronze Star.  Five of Charlie’s seven brothers also fought in Europe.  Charles was always a hard worker and retired from Chevron Oil in 1980.  He and Dorothy then started a business with laundromats until his second retirement in 1995.  Charlie and Dorothy were life-long Baptists who loved the Lord.  They spent their later years traveling and enjoyed camping and fishing.    Friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Merced Cemetery, 1300 B St., Merced, CA.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Fisher House Foundation, P.O.
