Clayton A. Beach, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on March 2, 2013 in Elk Grove California at the age of 87.  Clayton was born in Malone NY to David and Ellen Beach. His young life was growing up on the family farm in upstate New York with  his two brothers and sister.  Clayton served in the Korean War as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force.  He also attended Cornell University.  Clayton moved his young family to Manteca in 1962 and resided there until his retirement from Select Sires in 1992.  At that time he relocated to Sacramento where he lived until his death.  He was instrumental in the formation of Circle M 4-H Club in Manteca and was a 4-H leader for many years.  He also was a member of the YMI of St. Anthony Church.

Clayton is survived by his wife Jean of Sacramento, his daughter Monica (Bill) Abrew of Manteca, his son Thomas (Lucy) Beach of Tigard Oregon.  He is also survived by four grandchildren, John (Monica) Abrew and Jeffrey (Charli) Abrew all of Manteca and Valerie and Zachary Beach of Tigard, OR.  He was blessed to have five great grandchildren, Luke and Payton Abrew, JP, Maximo, and Constantino Abrew all of Manteca, and stepsons Ken, Craig, and Doug Norman.  Clayton was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Beach and stepdaughter Shari Norman.

Herberger Funeral Chapel of Elk Grove is handling arrangements.  In lieu of flowers any remembrances can be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/) for continuation of Prostate Cancer research.
