Clayton Robert Baker, 65, entered into rest on May 10, 2012 in Palo Alto, CA. He was born on April 3, 1947 in Braddock, PA. He was a resident of the Manteca area for 12 years.

Mr. Baker is survived by his children, Tammy Harris, Venus Bechtold, Clayton Baker Jr., and Casey Baker. He was blessed with six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Clayton was known to family and friends as "Clay." He proudly served his country through the U.S. Army from 1967-1972. He retired after 20 years of service from the City of Manteca as a City Building Maintenance Mechanic. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. He was a "jack of all trades," always helping others when needed. He was the rock of his family, always supporting his children and grandchildren in their endeavors. Clay's doors were always open to neighbors and friends as he always had a loving, helping heart. He will be remembered for his kind heart. He will be missed.
