Conrad Van Greydanus passed away in Jesus’ hands in Ripon, California on July 13, 2023. Conrad was a much prayed for first-born child of Peter and Elma Greydanus, born on July 27, 1945 in Modesto, California. Some years later, younger daughter Barbara was

born.

Conrad graduated from Ripon Christian School. He played on the basketball team and loved his homing pigeons; he participated in the Pigeon Racing Association. Conrad’s first job was moving chickens. He graduated from MJC and then finished at Stanislaus

State with a degree in Poultry Husbandry. To pay for college, Conrad gathered eggs.  On August 20, 1965, Conrad married Elaine Van Biezen-Crabtree. He soon began working for Walco (Animal Health International) where he worked for 50 years.

Conrad and Elaine have three children, Heidi (Glen), Matthew (Darin) and Robin (Adam).  Conrad was baptized at Modesto Christian Reformed Church and was a member there his entire life. His joy for Jesus overflowed as a cadet counselor for many years. He loved the camporees, the derby race, and the omelet breakfast fundraisers. God’s

creation also brought Conrad much happiness through his dogs, horses, gardens, orchards, camping and traveling.  Conrad and Elaine were blessed with six grandchildren, Grace and Van Oneto; Jasper, Everett, Stetsen and Jonas Fedders. They worked hard to make it to Grandparents Day at schools. They loved to teach their grandkids how to ride bikes, how to pitch a softball

and how to shoot a bow and arrow. Conrad would frequently talk with his

grandchildren to know how they were doing and what they were up to and that he loved them.

A memorial service for Conrad is scheduled for Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Modesto Christian Reformed Church; 2620 College Ave. Modesto.
