Cortney Nicole Nunes, 18, entered into rest on June 25, 2009 in Manteca. She was born on June 30, 1990 in Stockton. She joins her grandfather in heaven Candido Nunes.

Cortney is survived by her loving parents; Joseph C. Nunes of Manteca and Stacie Janel Ellis of Manteca. Her grandparents; Carolyn L. Nunes of Manteca and Mr. and Mrs. Alford Gordon and Shirley M. Ellis of Manteca. Her two brothers Jordan Anthony D ominquez and Fransisco Sallcedo both of Manteca. Cortney was also blessed by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and extended family members who loved her dearly.

Cortney attended Sequoia Elementary School and the local high school in Manteca. She enjoyed spending time on the computer, playing soccer, all types of music and of course texting to stay in touch with her family and friends. She loved going to A’s, Raiders, and Thunder games. Cortney enjoyed the water, whether at the beach, lake, or river, she always found fun in the sun. Cortney was a beautiful young lady who always had a smile on her face. She had a huge heart and wore her feelings on her sleeve. Her loving zestful spirit will be deeply missed.

Ms. Nunes services are being handled by P.L . Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca.

A memorial service will be held on Monday June 29, at 2 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Road, Manteca.
