Danny Detrick Martinez, entered into rest on August 15, 2011 in Manteca, California. He was born on July 31, 1985 in Hayward, California. He was 26 years old.

Danny is survived by his loving parents; Mother Dianne Detrick of Lathrop, Father Seppy Martinez & Step-mother Anna Martinez of Lathrop. He was an amazing brother to Jason Martinez of Fresno, Alicia Nonkester of Manteca, Rich Martinez of Stockton, David Bayless of Manteca and Stephanie Martinez of Sacramento. He was a wonderful uncle to Ricco, Izik, Wyatt, RubbyAnne and Jacob.

Danny attended Manteca High School his junior year and then graduated from Kennedy High in Fremont in 2003. He was an outgoing social guy who lived everyday of his life to the fullest. Danny found peace when living near the water and loved the serenity of the river.  He enjoyed taking trips on his motorcycle as he loved the open road of riding. He had a passion for music and loved to dance which was always followed by laughter and happiness. He was a huge San Francisco 49ers fan and Oakland A’s fan. He loved going to the ball games, supporting his teams, always cheering them on to victory. Danny will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his warm friendliness, and his zest for life. We will love you forever and wait patiently to see your smile again but until then we will think of your smile in sparkling sunlight and we will listen to your voice in the gentle breeze of the wind. You’ll forever be missed.  

A celebration of life service will be held in Danny’s honor on Sunday August 21, 2011 at 1 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca, California. An on-line guest book is available for condolences and special messages to Danny’s family at www.plfryandson.com
