Darlene R. Cox passed away October 22, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Stockton, CA after a long battle with kidney and heart failure.

Born May 9, 1930 in Stockton, CA and resided in Lathrop, CA for most of her life. She was a long standing member of the Lathrop Brethren Church where she was a choir leader for years. She had a beautiful voice that could be heard a block away. She also loved working in the church nursery. Her greatest gift of all was motherhood. She retired from John Ingles in Modesto in 1985.

Beloved wife of Darrel W. Cox for 57 years until his death in 2004. Loving mother of Cathleen Slater, Debra Cox, Lori Cox, and Roger Slater. She had sevengrandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is survived by four siblings Kathy Hale, Lester and Irvin Troy and Michael O’Geary. She leaves behind an extended family of aunts, sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends. Rest in peace.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2012 at Park View Cemetery, 3661 French Camp Rd., Manteca, CA.
