A native of Escalon, David Charles Cline Jr. was only 42 years old when he passed away on Aug. 11 at Oak Valley Care Center with his family by his side.  He was born on November 9, 1966 in Oakdale to David & Gloria Cline of Escalon.

David was a 1984 graduate of Escalon High School and he enjoyed working with his dad in the rice fields.  He loved to play pool, watch WWF Wrestling and NASCAR racing.

He is survived by his father David Cline of Escalon; his sisters Judy Willadsen of Arlington WA, Cathi (Jerry) Merritt of Escalon, and Shirley Cline of Escalon; niece’s & nephews Jerry, Melissa and Terry of Escalon and Wendy, Sarah, Kathryn and DJ of Washington; and great nephews & niece Christopher, Jeremy, Patrick, and Lyveah all of Washington. He is preceded in death by his mom Gloria who passed away in 1987.

Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, Aug. 17, at 2 p.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel, 1441 San Joaquin St. in Escalon.  Burial will be at a later date at Burwood Cemetery.
