David Lawrence Sellens Jr. passed away quietly in his sleep at home in Yreka, CA on March 24, 2012, at the age of 49.

David grew up in Tracy and graduated from Tracy High in 1982. He worked for Tommy's Pizza and Holly Sugar before enlisting in the United States

Navy where he served aboard the USS Kitty Hawk on the flight deck.

After his service to our country he moved to Mount Shasta area where he worked as a cook at the College of the Siskious.

He was a proud father and loving grandfather who enjoyed life in the mountains. He spent his free time fishing, playing the guitar, and spending as much time as possible with his children and grandbabies all of who were the joy of his life.

David is survived by his wife Susan, son David Jr., daughter Samantha, step daughters Amber Kraemer and Vanessa Peterson along with his mother Doris Whisenant of Modesto, sisters Belinda Berry and

Janice Tapia of Manteca half brothers Dr. James Stanton of Modesto, and Dr. Robert Stanton of Camano Island, Washington, grandchildren Akyra Sue and Nikohis Gabriel along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Services and interment will be held in Yreka on March 31, 2012.
