David R. Mueller, 86, entered into rest on July 5, 2016 in Manteca, Ca. He was born on April 21, 1930 in Stockton Ca. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Faye Mueller, sons Calvin Mueller and Jeff Esteves, brothers Donald Mueller, Dale Mueller, sister Jean Turner.
David is survived by his children Barbara Buchholz (Gary) of Escalon and her son David (Dionne) of Ripon, and her Daughter Joleen (Billy) of Riverbank, Eric Cooper (May) and their family of Lodi, Jerry Esteves (Amelia) and their family from Manteca, Calvin’s Son Joel Rhodes (Ruth) and their family from Dublin Ohio and devoted friend Gladys Crivello. He was blessed by many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
David was a resident of Manteca for over 65 years where he attended Calvary Community Church. He was the Superintendent of Public Works for the City of Manteca; retiring after 39 years of service. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Rotary, Kiwanis, and Odd Fellows. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed snow skiing and fishing. He vacationed with his family often in Sen Felipe, Mexico and Hawaii. In retirement he traveled to Palm Springs yearly with friends that enjoyed golf as much as he did. David was a humble giving man who loved his family immensely. His easy going loyal spirit drew many friends to love David. He will be remembered for his zest for life and his love and kindness for all.
P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Mueller family. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 1. to 5 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca. A service will be held the following day Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10a.m. also at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel. He will be laid to rest at a later date at Farmington Cemetery.
