David R. Tuchtenhagen, 61, after a long battle with cancer, lost his life on August 14, 2009. Dave was an exceptional husband, father and friend to all that had the pleasure of meeting him. Known as “Tuch” to all of his family and friends, David will forever be a part of their thoughts and prayers.  


After a short tour in the US Navy with duty in Vietnam, Dave became a long-lasting employee of PG&E where he worked proudly for over 37 years of service until his retirement in March 2007. Dave found joy in golfing, taking long drives to the city, and visiting with his family and friends.


He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Jacqueline Tuchtenhagen, whom he met in 1996 and married on June 9, 2001. Also, sons Wesley Tuchtenhagen  and Victor Diller; daughters Sonia Tuchtenhagen,  Tammy Diller, and Lisa Tuchtenhagen; grandson Justin Diller, granddaughters Cami Tuchtenhagen and Jenna Diller; his sisters, Tammy Simmons and Rachel Whiteside, Al (Unky) Whiting and family; his cousins Tony and Tonia Agbayani, Lonnie and Donna Perondi, James and Brenda Ownby; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his father and mother.


A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 20, 2009, 11 a.m. at Park View Cemetery, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca, CA 95336.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Hospice of San Joaquin or the American Cancer Society.
