David Thomas Benham bw

David Thomas Benham passed away August 18, 2014, following a two year battle with cancer.  He was born on February 16, 1962, in Kittery, Maine to Arlen and Jean Benham.  David served in the United States Army during his young adult life.  He married his best friend, Anna, in 1993 and the two settled in Manteca.  They had two daughters who were his everything.  He enjoyed fishing, loved his 49ers and liked all things sports.  When his oldest daughter signed up to play on a U8 soccer team, he was talked into coaching, and a game he knew little about, came to be one of his favorites. He and a group of friends would take an annual lake trip to be ‘boys’.  He will be missed dearly by his friends.
He is preceded in death by his wonderful father, Arlen N. Benham.  He leaves behind his dear mother Jean Benham, his loving wife Anna, along with the light of his life, his two daughters; Chloe and Camille, his siblings; Holly Benham Cartier (Dan Chaikin), Bruce Benham and Jill Benham Garrett (Ken Garrett), his sister-in-law Carole Trew, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many nieces and nephews who adored him. His love for his family was unconditional.   He will be missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life for the family and friends will be held, September 6th.  In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting a youth fishing pole or soccer ball to be donated to a children’s charity in David’s name.  #cancersucks
