Diana passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 in Alameda.
She was born in Sacramento and the family returned to their home town of Manteca in 1967.
   She attended some of the same schools as her parents, even having some of the same teachers. She graduated from Manteca High School in 1979. She went on to receive two degrees, a Bachelors of Science in marketing from CSU Stanislaus and Accounting degree from CSU Hayward. In 1995, Diana started her own CPA firm in Alameda.
   Diana loved to travel and did so often. There were few countries that she had not visited or planned to.  She was a fearless traveler.
   Our beautiful daughter is survived by her grieving parents, Mike and Wanda Gikas of Seattle, Washington. She is also survived by her brother Michael Gikas (Tiffany), niece Lea and nephew Adam of Clyde Hill, Washington, uncle Steve Gikas of Ripon, aunt Irene (Mike) of Ceres and many cousins both in the US and Crete, Greece.
   Private Trisagion and Graveside services were held Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 11a.m. in the Parkview Cemetery, Manteca.  Father Jon Magoulias officiated. Memorial contributions are preferred to the Friends of the Animal Shelter, 1590 Fortmann Way, Alameda, CA 94501.
