Don was extremely proud of his Swiss heritage and was fortunate to visit Switzerland twice in his lifetime, along with many other travels with his wife and friends. Also dear to Don’s heart is the family farm in Wisconsin which he still owns. Named “Return Acres”, he was proud to have maintained it within the Brink Family and it will reach it’s 100th year in the summer of 2013. Don’s wishes were to return home for his final resting place. The family will take him there in a private ceremony at a later date. Don was a member of the United Lutheran Church serving as a council member, the San Joaquin Valley Swiss Club, the San Joaquin Valley Swiss Echos, and past President of the Ripon Lion’s Club.
