Donald “Don” Diggs, 74, entered into rest on December 23, 2014 in Modesto, Ca. He was born on July 15, 1940 in Texas. He is preceded in death by his sisters Yvonne Adams and Diana Risenhoover. 

Mr. Diggs is survived by his wife of 42 years Wanda Diggs. His children are Larry Diggs (Deanna) and Tina Bates (Kent). He adored his four grandchildren Tyson, Brad, Breanne and Michael. 

Don was a resident of Manteca for 50 years. He proudly served his country through the United States Marine Corps. After his time in the service Don began his life-long career at Simplot in Lathrop. While working at Simplot Don was a union steward representative working vigorously for the employees. In his younger years He volunteered as a reserve firefighter and ambulance driver. Don was a reserved man who enjoyed the peacefulness of the outdoors; especially when it came to hunting and fishing. When his children were younger he loved their summer adventures; traveling to 48 different states. He loved to cook, spend time with his dog Coco and enjoyed telling stories, reminiscing about the good ol’ days. Don had a soft heart for his grandchildren as he supported them with all of their activities; he loved them unconditionally. Don will be remembered as a family man who was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be missed. 

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Diggs family. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son 290 N. Union Road, Manteca, Ca. Services will be held on Tuesday December 30, 2014 at 1 p.m. also held at P.L. Fry & Son.
