Donald Lee Roberts passed away on July 12, 2020, at the age of 85, in Quartzsite, AZ.  
   He was the husband of Marge Roberts.  He was born on the family ranch, November 25, 1934.  He was the son of Frank and Florence Roberts of Lathrop, CA.  He attended Manteca High School. Don was a man of many skills and talents.  He was a man who worked hard, could build anything, and solve mechanical issues with ease.  He was owner operator and drove a truck for 42 years, farmed land and raised a few cattle.  After retirement, he and Marge sold the ranch and moved to Oregon in 1994. The next year they started to travel to Quartzsite, AZ for winters (24 years).
   He was a member of the Crooked River Ranch Car Group.  Also he loved to create metal sculptures, restore over 20 antique cars, trucks and tractors of the 30s & 40s.  “Dad could build anything.”
   He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marge Roberts.  He was the father of Paulette Roberts of Modesto, CA, Donald (Doc) Roberts, Jr. and wife Valerie Roberts of Manteca, Tracey Roberts Lacey of Manteca, granddaughters, Ashlee Roberts of Manteca, Lacey Marie Roberts of Modesto, CA, great-granddaughter Nayana Nicole De Vargas of Modesto, CA and son-in-law Rick Clemens of Manteca, CA. He is also survived by one brother, William Henry Roberts and wife Jeri of Sacramento, CA
   Donald was preceded in death by oldest daughter Suzanne Marie Clemens, brothers, Anthony Charles Roberts, George Fredrick Roberts, and sister, Jeanne Isham.
   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of East Union Cemetery,  P.O. Box 591,  Manteca, CA 95336.  Or any charity of your choice.  Graveside services to be held at later date.
