Donald Morris Davis, 67, entered into rest on Oct. 28, 2010 in Pleasanton, California. He was born on July 3, 1943 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Morris and Minnie Davis. He joins his parents in heaven along with his son Scott Davis.

Mr. Davis is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Janet Davis of Manteca. His children are Arnold Phillips of Sacramento and Kimberly Davis of Manteca. He was blessed with 3 grandchildren, Nicole Davis, Michael Davis, and Daniel Mendez. In addition Donald has two surviving siblings, Jeanne Henderson of Stockton and Richard Davis of Tehachapi.

Donald was a 65-year resident of Manteca. He proudly served his county under the United States Navy. He retired from Silgan in Stockton as a manager after 40 years of service. He enjoyed bowling, fantasy football and computer games.  His family describes him as a loving and protective father, husband and grandfather. He loved spending time with his grandchildren as he cherished family time loving and spoiling them often.

Mr. Davis’ services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. A visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, from 1  to 5 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at 10 a.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. He will be laid to rest at a later date at Cherokee Memorial Park. An online guest book is available at www.plfryandson.com under obituaries.
