Donald Ray Tachara entered into rest August 19, 2020 in Hughson, California. He was born on May 13, 1930 in Yolo County, California. In Heaven he joins his parents, siblings, wife Edna “Jan” Tachara of 30 years, his son Tom Tachara and great-grandson Anthony Archuleta.
Don leaves behind his daughter Cindy Zontek and husband Jim of Turlock, CA. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Ashley Hutchason and husband David of Clovis, CA, Kathryn Roberts and husband Vince of Denair, CA, Brittney John and husband Nathan of Manteca, CA and Trisha Archuleta of Stockton, CA. Don also was blessed with nine great-grand children, Braxton and Taylen Hutchason, Emma Roberts, Aiden, Ryleigh, Harper and Hailey John, Alex and Alycia Archuleta.
Don was a General Contractor most of his life and took pride in all the beautiful homes he and his crew built. Don’s passion was tinkering with cars, watching car races and most of all he loved classic cars and going to as many car shows as he could. He was always so proud of the classic cars he owned and he was especially proud of the trophies he won at many car shows.
A visitation will be from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, at Park View Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3661 E. French Camp Rd., Manteca. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26 at Park View Cemetery. Due to current COVID 19 recommendations, at their request face masks are required.
