Dorothy Alta Schwecke, 86, died Friday, October 30, 2015 in Pollock Pines, CA.  She was born in Altus, Oklahoma on March 19, 1929 and was the 10th of 12 children.  She was a resident of Manteca for over 45 years.
   Dorothy is survived by her children: Peggy Danel and husband Brad of Manteca, Sherre Reece and husband John of Pollock Pines, Sandra Purdy and husband Homer of Ogden, Utah, Curtis Freeze and wife Brenda of Copperopolis, Fred Schwecke and wife Debbie of Florida, and Penny Lewis and husband Jim of Antioch, sibling Eunice Cancilla of Folsom, grandchildren, Keith Danel, Tanya Danel Rancer, Breann Grissom, Amanda Reece, Christina Reece, LaVonna Strope, Homer Purdy III, Curtis Purdy, Camryn Freeze, Donya Freeze, Jason Schwecke, Renee Coffey, Shawn Lewis and Cheri Ruliffson and 25 great-grandchildren.
   Dorothy owned several businesses in town.  She owned A Touch of Libra, Dorothy’s Coffee Shop, Dorothy’s Catering, and ran Dorothy’s Day Care for over 20 years.  Some of her favorite pastimes were bowling, gardening, playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.  She especially cherished the times that she spent with her family.  Dorothy will be dearly missed by everyone.
   P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, is honored to be serving the Schwecke family.  Visitation will be Wednesday, November 4th from 4pm to 7pm at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca.  A Chapel service will be held on Thursday, November 5, at 10 a.m at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home.
