Dorothy Wright, 72 entered rest suddenly on Sunday March 6, 2022, in Manteca. She was born in Phillips, AK on April 14, 1949, to the late George and Sally Davis.
In heaven, Dorothy joins her adored daughter Sally, her husband whom she had shared 30 years with Charles, her sisters Janice, Sue, and Brenda.
Dorothy leaves behind her sons, Charlie Odell Wright and wife Kelly of Madera, Noah Wright and Fiancée Crystal Muschetto of West Point and Jeremiah Wright and wife Jenny of Manteca. She was blessed with 17 grandchildren, Charlie, Jordan, Sarah, Garett, Harley, Hayden, Baylee, Dalton, Mallory, Wade, Maverick, Chelce, Caylin, Camryn, Sage and three great- grandchildren, Adrian, Jaclin and Bentley. In addition, Dorothy leaves behind her loving brother Steve Davis of Manteca.
Dorothy originally from Arkansas would marry and raise her family in the bay area mainly San Lorenzo. During her younger years, she would work as a waitress and made countless friends. She was social and fun. Dorothy would look forward to Karaoke and was always the life of the party. She was funny and had a beautiful zest for life. In her down time, she loved to sew and was an avid collector of everything. She was artistic and found the beauty in everything. She was so proud of her family and their heritage never forgetting her roots. Family was most important to Dorothy, she looked forward to visiting with her sons, making them laugh with her sense of humor. She loved her grandchildren dearly as well as her dog Daisy, that was always at her side. Dorothy will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend she will be deeply missed.
P.L. Fry and Son is honored to serve the Wright family. A celebration of life will be held in her honor on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. held at P.L. and Son, 290 North Union Road, Manteca, CA.
