Born in Berkeley, California, Earl F. Pimentel Jr. entered into rest on September 20, 2018 in Manteca.
A railroad enthusiast, Earl was a 50 year resident of Manteca. He was an outstanding teacher and Department Head at Manteca High School. He was a teacher who taught all levels of Spanish for 35 years. His leadership as Department Chairman and his outstanding rapport with students in his classroom was an inspiration to all. Earl received several awards during his career, including the Bell Ranger Award, Educator of Excellence and Educator of the Year. After retiring from his teaching career, Earl gave selflessly of himself for 16 years at Doctors Hospital of Manteca as a volunteer. He served as the Auxiliary President in 2000, 2001, 2003, and 2004. He served as an ambassador to patients in their most critical time of need. Earl was an exemplary leader in the Manteca community and in other projects such as his involvement with the Manteca Historical Society and in the California Retired Teachers Association.
In addition, Earl proudly received the Special Recognition Award for the Manteca Hall of Fame in 2015 for being an example of a wonderful teacher and a model community volunteer. Earl will be remembered for the love he gave to his community. He will be missed by many.
A celebration of life will be on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to a local charity of choice. An online guest book is available for condolences to the family at www.plfryandson.com
