Ed Andretta , 90, entered into rest peacefully at his home in Modesto, March 18, 2013.

He leaves his wife of 27 years Ouida Andreetta, son Michael Andreetta (Maureen) of Roseville, daughter Carla Hiatt (Richard) of Manteca, granddaughter Natalie Rosas (Jeff) of Manteca and grandson Nicholas Andreetta (Monica) of London, Ontario, Canada. He is also survived by four great grandchildren Abigail Rosas, Katelyn Rosas, Andrew Rosas and Vittoria Andreetta, six nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews.

Ed was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy. He was the 1951 Jalopy Champion at Stockton 99 Speedway, worked on his father’s dairy on Hart Rd. in Modesto and worked for Norris Thermador in Riverbank. He also worked for the Goulart Bros. as a mechanic in Modesto, worked for 10 years for his brother Willie at the Manteca Meat Service as a butcher, Travelon Trailer as a salesman in Modesto and as a bartender at the Front Page in Modesto until he retired in 1986. In his own words he was a “Jack of All Trades.”

His greatest joy was family, friends and auto racing. He will be deeply missed.

 Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home is honored to serve the Andreetta family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 4pm to 8pm at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home.

 Services will be held in the Chapel at Lakewood, Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11am.

 Remembrances may be sent to the Stanislaus County Swiss Club or a charity of your choice.
