Edwin Frank Wertman was born December 22, 1925, in Berkeley, CA. He was the only child born to his late parents Ed and Edna Wertman.
Ed lived in the Bay area for 60 years before moving to the Tracy area where he has lived for the past 25 years. He graduated from Berkeley High School where he met the absolute love of his life, the beautiful Margaret Hynes.
He served honorably in World War II as a Merchant Marine. Upon his dis-charge from the service he returned to Berkeley where he and Margaret were wed.
