Silva Elsie 001.jpg1

Elsie A. Silva, 92, entered into rest on September 9, 2015 in Hughson, CA.  She was born on January 10, 1923 in Turlock, CA.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Manuel Silva and her brothers; Arthur Perry and August Perry Jr.
Mrs. Silva is survived by her sisters; Elvera Muncill and Mary Perry as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Elsie was a resident of both Manteca, and Stockton areas for over 50 years; most recently moving to Modesto just three years ago to be closer to her sister. Elsie was a devout Catholic where she was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and attended Our Lady of Fatima in Modesto. Her faith was very important to her as she prayed the rosary daily and attending Masses from her own home by watching EWTN Catholic TV. She found serenity while tending her garden, relaxing near the water’s edge fishing the day away. She enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors, reading and a good bowl of sweet ice cream. Elsie was extremely close to her nieces and nephews as she never had children of her own; she loved them unconditionally as they were her own. She will be remembered as a wonderful sister and loving aunt. She will be missed.  Our family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Community Hospice for their care and compassion during this difficult time. Your comforting words and actions never went unnoticed.
