Elsie M. Morris, 83, entered into rest on March 7, 2016 in Modesto, CA. She was born on May 30, 1932 in Stockton, CA to the late Louie and Rose Bertaina.
   She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her beloved husband Robert Morris of 33 years.
   Elsie is survived by her son Rick Morris and daughter Julie Kraus.
   Elsie grew up in Stockton graduating from Stockton High School.  After her marriage to Robert she and her husband raised their two children in Manteca. While raising their children Elsie and Robert own and operated an almond ranch which is still family owned and operated. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the MRPS Hall. She loved tending to her garden and cooking for family. For the past 13 years she truly enjoyed her companionship with Manuel Valverde. Dancing and attending the accordion club events were some of their favorite activities. Elsie’s warm but gregarious personality drew many to know and love her.  She will  be remembered as a loving mother and friend. She will be deeply missed.
   P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Morris family.  Visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a rosary/vigil at 7:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca. A mass will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 525 E. North St., Manteca.  She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband privately at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
