Elvira E. Kalin, 82, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2011 at Hospice of San Joaquin in Stockton. She was a resident of Manteca for 53 years. Elvira was born on February 25, 1929 at San Joaquin County Hospital to the late Rudolpho and Mary (Guiliani) Fogli.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Felix A. Kalin; her 3 children, Lynda Kalin of Sacramen-to, Steven Kalin and his wife, Candice and Judi
Oliveria and husband, Ed all of Manteca. She was blessed with five grandchil-dren, Scott Kalin (Manteca), Jana Hubbart (Lockeford), Hilary Van De Pol (Escalon), John Oliveria (Manteca), and Taylor Oliveria (Sacramento). She also was blessed with nine great grandchildren, Kole, Drew and Chase Kalin; Ben, Kye, Liv and Wil Hubbart; and Olivia and Emily Van de Pol. Elvira also leaves behind her three sisters, Genevieve Nilsson, Dora Brock and Beverly Williams all of Tracy.
Elvira graduated from Tracy High School and married Felix Kalin in 1950. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, the Italian Catholic Federation, and a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul for 15 years.
Elvira was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a friend to everyone she met.
Services for Mrs. Elvira E. Kalin are under the direction of PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 9, 2011,
1pm to 5pm at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home. A mass will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 10:30am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North Street, Manteca. Final resting place will be St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Escalon.
