Moved to Manteca in 1944

Elvira R. “Cathy” Dadasovich passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, after a short illness with leukemia.

Born on August 5, 1930 in Paris, Texas, she and her family moved to Manteca in 1944 where she attended Manteca Union High School.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Craig Thompson of Manteca and her son Bill Fagundes of Stockton, her granddaughters Becky Costa, Mindy Kuhnle, and Amy Young, 8 great-grandchildren, Ashley Costa, Justin Costa, Will Johannsen, Makenzie Henricksen, Lexi Vaughan, Ireland Green and Levi Green, all of Manteca.  She is also survived by her sister Linda Cook of Manteca and brothers John C. Brooks of San Pablo and Joe Brooks of Portola.  Her parents Josephine Cardoza and John H. Brooks, her sisters Daphne Bowling and Margie Tatge and her brother Rudell Brooks preceded her in death.  

Per her request all services will be private.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to Optimal Hospice Foundation, 122 W. Granger Ave, Modesto, CA  95350, the American Cancer Society, or to the Manteca Relay-for-Life.
