OBIT BRADY

Emily Lynn Brady of Manteca passed away on December 4, 2011 at the age of 31 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.  She was born in Provo, Utah to Ron Brady and Brenda (Jones) Valdes on March 29, 1980.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Marjorie Jones, and paternal grandfather, Reeves Brady.

Emily graduated from Sierra High School in 1998 and continued her education at CSU Sacramento where she received her B.A. in Social Sciences. She was presently employed at the San Joaquin County Office of Education where she held positions in Human Resources and the Research and Grant Development Office.  She recently wrote grants to secure funding for Foster Youth, to bring art back into the classroom, and to create safe playgrounds for special needs students.  Emily was also an accomplished hair stylist and worked full-time at the Elegant Image Salon. Doing hair was an art form to Emily and she attracted clients both with her great skill and her infectious personality.

She treasured her family and friends above all else and will be remembered by the smile on her face and the laughter she brought into the lives she touched.  Emily is survived by her parents, Ron Brady and Brenda Valdes; siblings Melissa Brady, Jared(Kaitlin) Brady, Rebecca Valdes, Nicholas Valdes, Caitlin Brady, Skyler Brady and Kylie Brady; grandfather Milton (Ellen) O. Jones and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her very much.
